We are sure you will find us friendly and approachable but the only way to prove that is for you to come along to a meeting. New members are always welcome and we don’t ask you to pay a subscription until you’ve come along a few times and are sure that you want to join.

The season starts in September and concludes at the end of May, meeting at the Flannery Centre on Victoria Road between 7:30pm and 9:30pm. During the summer months we host the occasional photo walk/trip.

Meetings are a mixture of talks, portfolios, club evenings (a variety of active and participatory events) and externally judged competitions. We break for a brew and biscuits halfway through the evening (small charge).

Meetings

Meetings are generally held every two weeks on Thursday evenings and commence at 7.30pm, finishing about 9.30pm. The venue will usually be open from 7:00pm or shortly afterwards. The club usually meets between September and May or early June.

The club holds at least 5 internal competitions in a season and the judging of each will take a whole evening. Remaining meetings comprise guest lectures, members nights; (when individual members present their work, a topic which interests them or host a technical evening) and occasional practical sessions (including photo-shoots).
